Speech Therapy Sessions

Speech Pathology Therapy Sessions range from 30 minutes – 1 hour, depending on the age of the child and focus skills. They take place weekly/fortnightly and sometimes more frequently if required.

Should you be claiming from NDIS, please note that therapy fees will differ slightly to accommodate for administrative requirements involved with NDIS client services.

Please contact the practice to discuss speech therapy sessions and fees.

Rebates

Medicare/Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plans

At Triple L, all our practitioners are registered providers with Medicare and have a Medicare Provider Number.  Whilst we generally don’t provide bulk billed speech pathology or audiology for children, partial rebates may be available with a written referral from a medical practitioner. Medicare rebates are available if you have a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan from your GP, to assist with partial payment of your account.  A CDM Plan will allow you to claim for 5 sessions which can be used for assessment or therapy (reports are not covered, and need to be paid for in full). Please discuss this with your paediatrician or GP to see if your child is eligible for a CDM Plan.  Partial rebates may also be available for some audiology services with a written referral from a medical practitioner e.g. GP or Ear, Nose and Throat specialist.

We do ask that you please notify us, prior to your appointment, if you are claiming from Medicare, and email your audiology referral or CDM plan to us prior to your appointment.  Settlement of the account will need to be made directly with the practice on the day of the session (via a debit/credit card transaction) or via a bank transfer payment on receipt of the invoice.  Once payment has been received, a receipt of payment will be emailed to you that can then be used to claim back from Medicare.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on your Private Health Fund, you may be eligible for a rebate for your assessments, reports and therapy.  Please check with your health insurer for the rebate amounts.  We are happy to provide the codes required if needed.  Please note that no referral is necessary if claiming through your Private Health Fund.

The practice does not deal directly with Private Health Care Insurance Companies. Please therefore kindly note that settlement of the account is to be made directly with the practice on the day of the session (via a debit/credit card transaction) or via a bank transfer payment on receipt of the invoice. Once payment has been received, a receipt of payment will be emailed to you that can then be used to claim back from your Private Health Care Insurer. Please could you kindly advise the practice when claiming from Private Health Care as varying procedural codes and information are required in the invoice.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

If you are accessing NDIS funding for your child’s appointments, please advise us of this before attending your first appointment.  NDIS funding can be used for assessments, reports and therapy.

Please note that the practice is not an NDIS provider. Should you wish, therefore, to claim from NDIS, you will need to do so using self-managed NDIS funding or plan-managed NDIS funding, whereby payment is made directly to the practice and then claimed back from your child’s NDIS self-managed or plan-managed fund.

Cancellation Policy

Sickness: Should your child be sick, a cancellation fee will not be charged, however, we kindly request that you provide us with as much notice as possible so that there is sufficient time to allocate your child’s appointment time to another child, where possible.

Should a cancellation for any alternative reason to sickness be made within 48 hours, there will be no charge. Should a cancellation be made within 48 hours prior to your child’s therapy slot, this will incur a cancellation fee of 50%. Any session that is missed without having informed the therapist prior to the session, will be charged at the full therapy session rate.
