Triple L Paediatric Speech Pathology and Audiology, Redlands City

Triple L

Listening, Language, Literacy

Paediatric speech pathology, audiology and literacy assessment and therapy for children and adolescents with speech, language, literacy, hearing or auditory processing difficulties, provided in a caring, supportive environment in Cleveland, Redlands.

Speech, Language and Literacy Assessment & Therapy for kids

Our unique Speech Pathology and Audiology clinic considers your child’s listening, speech, language and literacy skills together, helping us build a more complete picture of their strengths and areas of difficulty. By looking at how these areas may be connected, we can provide clear, holistic recommendations and support that is tailored to your child’s individual needs.

Triple L provides paediatric hearing assessments for children aged 3 years and over, as well as comprehensive Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) assessment and intervention.
Our auditory processing assessments are unique in taking a holistic, functional approach.

Rather than reporting auditory processing test results in isolation, we integrate a child’s underlying auditory
processing profile with findings from speech pathology, language and literacy assessment where appropriate. This allows us to explain not only how a child processes auditory information, but how these difficulties may functionally affect their listening, language, reading, spelling, comprehension, learning and participation at school, at home and in everyday life.

Our reports are designed to make complex assessment findings meaningful and practical for parents, teachers and other professionals, clearly linking the results with how they
may affect the child in everyday life and providing individualised recommendations for support and intervention.

We provide speech pathology assessment and therapy for children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and Speech Sound Disorders (SSD) in Cleveland and the Redlands.

Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) can affect a child’s ability to understand and use spoken language, including vocabulary, grammar, sentence formulation, following instructions and verbal reasoning. These difficulties can also significantly affect later-developing literacy, reading comprehension, written language and learning at school, making early identification and intervention important.

Speech Sound Disorders affect a child’s ability to produce speech sounds clearly and may include articulation and phonological difficulties, as well as more complex motor speech disorders such as Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Persistent speech sound difficulties can also place some children at increased risk of later reading and spelling difficulties, particularly when phonological processing is affected.

Our speech pathologists provide individualised, evidence- based assessment and intervention, tailored to each child’s communication, learning and literacy needs.

When To Get Help For Your Child

Language, listening, and literacy skills are absolutely essential to your child’s present and future success. If there are problems with these skills, it can affect your child’s social life, their scholastic success, and even their future career path. Early intervention through speech and language therapy is the best and only way to help your child overcome these issues and safeguard their future.

Here are some signs that your child may need help:

  • You have concerns about your child’s listening, language or literacy
  • Your child isn’t ready for school despite being the right age
  • People have trouble understanding your child
  • Your child doesn’t communicate as well as others who are the same age
  • Making friends is difficult for your child because they can’t communicate
We cannot recommend Candice enough. She has been pivotal in all aspects for our 3 boys speech, grammar, reading and writing needs. Her knowledge and passion in her industry is outstanding. Candice has always gone above and beyond helping our boys to achieve their personal educational goals. As parents with 3 Dyslexic children the support, direction and complete honesty Candice has given over the 7 years has been a tremendous aid, helping us to navigate the many challenges Dyslexia can bring.
